Homemade gifts

Christmas is a very expensive holiday as we all know, but there are ways to reduce expenses of the season. Why not try making gifts and cards? I've made several gifts in the past and they're usually better received than the store bought items. Here are some ideas:
  • Photo cards
  • Photo calendars
  • Homemade truffles (recipes can be found online)
  • Photo books of old family photos - you can design one book and get copies for the whole family
  • Make a scarf - and no you don't need to knit - instructions for beautiful, easy fringed herringbone pattern scarves can be found on Martha Stewart's website
  • Homemade ornaments
  • Beaded bracelets, necklaces or earrings
  • Miniature paintings
  • Homemade candy
There are many possibilities - you're only limited by your imagination.
